Nishio Rent All Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Indonesia’s Andalas University and Pertamina University for Educational Exchange~Building on Industry-Academia Collaboration with Kochi National College of Technology to Promote Long-term Student Internships and Joint Research in Japan~

Nishio Rent All Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka; President and Representative Director: Nishio Masashi), a subsidiary of Nishio Holdings Co., Ltd., is pleased to announce the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) for educational exchange and collaboration with Universitas Andalas (Andalas University), a national university, and Universitas Pertamina (Pertamina University), a private university, both located in Indonesia.

Purpose and Background of the MOU Signing

With an eye toward future recruitment of highly skilled international talent, our company is strategically advancing partnerships with educational institutions to build relationships through accepting internship students and other initiatives.
This MOU signing was made possible through the introduction and tremendous support of Professor Masaharu Okada of the National Institute of Technology, Kochi College (Kochi Kosen), who has been collaborating with our company on collaborative classes and internship student acceptance programs.
Through partnerships with both universities, which possess high educational standards and expertise within Indonesia, we aim to foster global human resources and acquire talented young professionals who will support our company’s international business development.

Main Areas of Collaboration Under the Agreement

Based on these MOUs (Memoranda of Understanding), we will promote specific exchange and collaboration programs in the following areas.
Acceptance of Student Internships :
We will accept students for internships in Japan and deepen our relationship-building with the universities.
Promotion of Joint Research :
We will conduct joint research involving faculty members, aiming for mutual academic and technical development.
Planning and Implementation of Exchange Programs :
We will plan and implement exchange programs not only to raise student awareness of our company but also to make it “a company they want to join,” with the goal of acquiring promising future talent.

Overview of Agreement Signing and Briefing Sessions in Indonesia

From September 17 to 21, 2025, Tomii Takamasa from our Human Resources Department and Iwahara Ryo from our Shikoku Sales Department visited Indonesia as representatives of the president to sign the agreements.

・Pertamina University (Jakarta)

Visit Date: September 18, 2025
Agreement Signing: An MOU for educational exchange and collaboration was signed on September 18, 2025.
※The ceremony was attended by the Dean and Vice Dean from Pertamina University.
Company Briefing Session :
– We provided a company overview and exchanged opinions with the Dean, Department Heads, and faculty members from various departments.
– Subsequently, we held a company briefing session for students in the auditorium, introducing our internship program in Japan and our acceptance framework.
University Overview :
Pertamina University is a private university established by Pertamina, Indonesia’s largest oil and gas company.

・Andalas University (Padang)

Visit Dates: September 19-20, 2025
Agreement Signing: An MOU for educational exchange and collaboration was signed on September 19, 2025.
※The ceremony was attended by the Rector and Vice Rector from Andalas University.
Company Briefing Session :
– We provided a company overview and exchanged opinions with the Rector, Vice Rector, and faculty members.
– The following day, we held a company briefing session for students in the auditorium, introducing our internship program in Japan and our acceptance framework.
University Overview :
Andalas University is the fourth oldest major university in Indonesia, with approximately 30,000 students enrolled across 15 faculties and graduate schools.

Future Outlook

Through this MOU signing and on-site visits, we have established a foundation for collaboration with Indonesia’s Andalas University and Pertamina University. Going forward, we will deepen our relationship-building with the universities through accepting students for internships in Japan and conducting joint research involving faculty members. Through these programs, we will work toward recruiting outstanding Indonesian students, contributing to the internationalization of our company and the development of next-generation industry professionals capable of thriving globally.
